We’re here to pave the way from the space you’re living in today to a home that fits where you are & where you’re headed.

I know the power of spending your days in a space that is refreshing, relaxing, nurturing, and reflects your distinct life and personality.

I’m Lauren Ramsby, a former NYC newspaper editor who now edits clients’ living rooms. I left the newsroom to complete my third home renovation, a full rehab of a four-story brownstone. Inspired by the finished project, clients asked me to design their homes, I founded FOUR STORIES, and I never looked back.

I’ve been that woman with an image in her head of the ideal space — with a fresh, finished look, and a warm, cozy feel where everything looks and feels just right.

I went from inhabiting an impersonal, disjointed, and nonfunctional home to discovering the intimacy and joy that comes with creating a customized space where you feel represented, uplifted, and at peace.

In over 20 years of designing homes I’ve helped dozens of others do the same by tapping me to help them achieve that feeling of a place to truly call your home. With a proven process we take you step by step through every decision and choice with expert advice and deep industry knowledge to guide you in making informed decisions and to help you avoid costly mistakes.
